Do adjustments hurt?

No. Most people experience a euphoric feeling while getting an adjustment.

What is the ‘cracking’ sound?

The cracking or popping sound you may hear is actually gasses escaping from the joints. This is totally normal.

Will I have to see a chiropractor for the rest of my life?

No. But regular chiropractic wellness care can keep those little aches and pains away.

What conditions can chiropractic help with?

Chiropractic can help with a lot of different conditions. Headaches, pinched nerves, vertigo, generalized neck and back pain, extremity pain (elbow, wrists, knee, ankle), sprains and strains, whiplash. Please talk with Dr. Gardner about your issues and conditions to see if chiropractic treatment is right for you.

Should I take my child to see a chiropractor?

Yes. Chiropractic is safe and effective for people of all ages. Infants to seniors. A more gentile approach is taken though.

Do I have to take X-rays?

No. X-rays are not an effective tool for chiropractic care. Sometimes Dr. Gardner will request an MRI.

Can I have an adjustment and massage on the same day?

Yes. In fact chiropractic and massage go very well together. They each play on the other.

Can I have an adjustment if I have herniated or bulging discs? What about screws, rods and fusion?

Yes. Different techniques are used for these conditions.
